Biography
For her PhD project, Anneminne Frère is delving into the ancient and contemporary cremation practices in the region of Belgium, aiming to construct a comprehensive overview highlighting the differences and similarities across time. In doing so, she integrates archaeological, geochemical, and sociological research to investigate various practices and rituals. The goal is to enhance the death literacy of people living in Belgium, thereby contributing to the creation and support of compassionate communities.
