Culture in the mirror

'Culture in the mirror' is a theoretical framework proposed by Dutch cognitive scientist Barend van Heusden (for more information, see www.cultuurindespiegel.nl). Based on this, the project 'Culture in the Mirror – Flanders' aims to develop a frame of reference for integrated cultural education. Among other things, this frame of reference should meet the curricular discontinuity that exists in education today with regard to cultural education. The research also tries to give a clear answer to the question of what culture actually is and its importance for education.
