Karen Triquet
Biography
Karen Triquet is a PhD student at the Department of Educational Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Her work takes a deeper look at technologies potential and role in supporting teaching and learning, and the respective systemic demands thereof. More specifically, her research looks at the promotion of self-regulated learning and teaching within technology-enhanced and enabled learning environments, given the unique affordances they present towards learner personalization. Her work, situated under the overarching research teams focus of leveraging educational innovation, aims to shed greater light on the multi-level (system, teacher and machine) predictors of TELE-SRL practices within primary education. Alongside, her PhD she collaborates on several educational technology projects, and occasionally consults on initiatives in regards to digital adoption and scaling within education.
